Fees and Funding Information
Fees
Fees are reviewed by the committee annually. Our fee is currently at £5.50 per hour however this is subject to change. Fees are payable even if a child is absent without notice or for a short time. In cases of prolonged absence, parent/guardians should consult the committee about fee payment. Each child’s attendance at the group is conditional upon continued payment of any necessary fees.
Snacks
Each term we ask for a voluntary contribution of 30p per session towards our snack costs. The children are offered snack twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon. The children are provided with a healthy range of fresh fruits and chopped vegetables for their snack daily and have access to fresh milk and water. Snack time is an important social part of our day, the children sit together with a member to staff and are able to share, chat and learn at the table whilst enjoying their snack. We link our snack to our curriculum with stories such as 'The Hungry Caterpillar' by trying foods from the story for our snack. We also use this voluntary contribution towards ingredients for cooking opportunities throughout the term.

Early Years Pupil Premium
All children who meet the eligibility criteria for EYPP will benefit from the funding. This funding is paid directly to us on an hourly rate basis, linked to claimed hours for entitled children.
Which three-and four-year-olds will be eligible for the EYPP?
A child will be eligible for the EYPP if they:
-
Are in a low-income family and their parents are in receipt of benefits (one or more), for example, Child Tax Credit and Income Support;
-
Have been adopted from care;
-
Have left care through special guardianship;
-
Have been looked after by the local authority for at least the span of one day;
-
Are subject to a child arrangement order.
As an Early Years setting we have the freedom to choose how we spend the money to best support disadvantaged children in our care. Our pre-school will use the additional funding in the following ways:
- Continue our commitment to furthering our knowledge by Continuing Professional Development and attending relevant training.
- Provide home visits to families which aids transition into our setting.
- Provide home learning packs, story sacks and library.
- Providing additional staff to allow us to provide more acceptable child:adult ratios.
- Purchasing additional resources.
